Yin Yoga

The majority of Yin Yoga poses are performed on the floor, targeting the denser tissues that tighten as we age. There are standing poses for alignment and flexibility. No strenuous Vinyasa Flow poses, no headstands or arm balance sequences. We start from the navel (core) area and gradually add upper body and shoulders, and lower body, We concentrate  on gradually gaining more elasticity in the fascia and connective tissue. This class will help you to make gains in your individual needs for flexibility and strength in the thighs, hamstrings, hips, achilles, abs and low back at a slow pace, gently moving toward each individual’s capacity in the poses. Blocks, kneeling pads, blankets and straps are provided for deep release.
